Joël Andrianomearisoa se sert des médiums de l’architecture et de l’installation, de la performance et de la vidéo, mais son domaine de prédilection est la haute couture. Dès l‘âge de douze ans il fréquente l’académie de mode de sa ville natale où il suit aussi des cours à l’Institut des métiers d’arts plastiques. A partir de 1995, il expérimente le bois, la pierre, l’acier et le plastique, matériaux habituellement associés à la sculpture et à larchitecture plutôt qu‘à l’habillement…
